Lakewood Ranch, Fla., Oct. 29, 2020 —The Florida Cancer Specialists (FCS) Foundation welcomes Seminole County Attorney David A. Webster to their Board.
The FCS Foundation aids cancer patients throughout Florida who need non-medical financial assistance while undergoing treatment. Grants enable those who are fighting cancer to concentrate on recovery rather than their overdue rent, mortgage, electric or water bill. The Board is comprised of physicians and community leaders and volunteers who take an active leadership role in advancing the Foundation’s mission.
A criminal defense lawyer and former prosecutor, Webster is the founder of The Law Office of David A. Webster, P.A., based in Longwood, Florida. He has supported the FCS Foundation by participating as a Sole Man at the Wine Women & Shoes fundraising event in Lake Mary for three years and was crowned “King of Sole” for raising the most money in 2018.
Webster is a graduate of Ohio State University and the University of Toledo College of Law, where he received the Dean’s Award for the Outstanding Graduate of the Class of 1991. Prior to entering private practice, where he began to focus exclusively on criminal defense, Webster served as an assistant state attorney for the 18th Judicial Circuit in Seminole County. He has extensive courtroom experience and has lectured at the Seminole State College Police Academy, instructing law enforcement professionals on trial preparation and testimony.
He currently serves on the 18th Judicial Circuit Professionalism Panel and is a former member of the Central Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the bar associations of Orange County and Seminole County, and the grievance committee of the Florida Bar Association. His numerous professional recognitions include the Seminole County Bar Association Whigham-Gray Award for Professionalism in 2019.
“David is a distinguished and trusted professional with a history of service to his community. He will be a tremendous asset to the FCS Foundation Board and our efforts to assist cancer patients throughout Central Florida,” said FCS Foundation Board Chairman Dr. Michael Diaz.
Lynn Rasys, executive director of the FCS Foundation, added, “We are grateful for David’s willingness to serve in this leadership role on the FCS Foundation Board.”

About Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation:
The Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation (FCSF) provides financial support to qualified adult cancer patients in the state of Florida for expenses such as rent or mortgage, car payments and utility bills. By giving patients peace of mind in knowing that their bills are being paid while they are undergoing treatment, the FCS Foundation allows them to concentrate on what really matters – fighting cancer.
Due to the generosity of the Florida Cancer Specialists physicians in covering all overhead expenses for the Foundation, 100% of donations received go directly toward paying the essential non-medical living expenses of an adult battling cancer.
