Guests will Rock the Foundation to assist cancer patients in need
Drawing to be held for Super Bowl LVI tickets
Bradenton, Fla., Aug. 13, 2021 — Rock the Foundation is the theme for the eighth annual Tampa Bay Gala hosted by the Florida Cancer Specialists (FCS) Foundation. The signature event will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021 from 6 – 11 p.m. at Armature Works, 1910 North Ola Ave., Tampa. Nathan H. Walcker, Chief Executive Officer of Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute (FCS), and Michael Diaz, MD, FCS Foundation Board Chair, are serving as Honorary Chairs.
The 2021 Tampa Bay Gala promises to be a fun-filled evening of entertainment provided by the Bay Kings Band, a scrumptious dinner and silent and live auctions with fabulous prizes. A highlight of the evening will be the announcement of the winner of two tickets to Super Bowl LVI, donated by NFL official Carl Paganelli in memory of his wife Cathy. In recognition of the Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute Lakewood Ranch nursing staff who provided excellent care to Cathy during her four-year battle with cancer, the Paganelli family honors her legacy of giving back by giving football fans a chance to win an experience of a lifetime.
All proceeds will assist adult cancer patients who are undergoing treatment and in need of non-medical financial assistance. The FCS Foundation’s overhead is paid by Florida Cancer Specialists’ physicians so that 100% of donations (net of event expenses) benefit cancer patients in need.
Nathan H. Walcker said, “We are delighted to gather in person once again with our generous sponsors and friends for this exquisite event. Together, we know we can make a significant difference in the lives of people who are living with cancer and their families.”
FCS Foundation Board Chairman Dr. Michael Diaz added, “Since our inception, the FCS Foundation has never turned away a qualified applicant. And while the pandemic greatly impacted our fundraising success, we were able to assist every qualified applicant and provided $1.65 million in patient assistance grants by year-end 2020.
Event tickets are $250 per person or $2,250 for a table of ten and include dinner, live music and dancing. Guests are encouraged to wear Rock ‘n Roll cocktail attire. Tickets can be purchased on the FCS Foundation website at FCSF.org/Gala2021.
Sponsorships are also available. To learn more about the Tampa Bay Gala, contact Lynn Rasys at LRasys@FLCancer.com or (941) 677-7184.
