Bradenton, Fla., April 25, 2024 — The Florida Cancer Specialists (FCS) Foundation (FCSF) is pleased to announce Andrew Menendez has joined its Board of Directors. The FCS Foundation provides financial assistance for non-medical living expenses to qualified adult cancer patients who are currently undergoing treatment in Florida, allowing them to focus on their treatment and recovery, rather than overdue bills.
In a joint statement, FCS Foundation Board Co-Chairs, Michael Diaz, MD and Raul Storey, MD, said, “We are delighted to welcome Andrew to our Board. His deep experience in the healthcare sector, as well as his understanding of non-profit organizations, will bring great value to Foundation leadership.”
Andrew is an Audit Partner in the Tampa, Florida office of Ernst & Young, LLP, specializing exclusively in the Health Science and Wellness sector. Andrew has over 15 years of experience serving a variety of health care organizations, including not-for-profit multi-hospital health systems, academic medical centers, public issuers, high-growth entrepreneurial entities and pharmaceutical entities.
A graduate of the University of South Florida, with both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Accounting, Andrew is a licensed certified public accountant in the state of Florida and is passionate about community involvement, evidenced by his seat on the University of South Florida Accounting Circle Board of Directors and the University of South Florida Lynn Pippenger School of Accountancy Advisory Council. Prior to joining the board of the Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation, Andrew had a particular interest in working with organizations that assist families in their fight with cancer after having personal experience when his younger brother went through a cancer journey at a very young age. FCS Foundation Executive Director Lynn Rasys said, “Andrew is a great supporter of the Foundation’s mission and is dedicated to ensuring that every qualified patient receives the assistance they need to pay their critical, non-medical living expenses. We are thrilled to welcome him to the Foundation Board.”
