Wellington, FL – February 5th, 2019… The Florida Cancer Specialists (FCS) Foundation is pleased to announce that the 3rd Annual Polo Brunchchaired by Linda & Jeffrey Phipps, Sr. and honorary chairs, FCS Physicians, Dr. Hugo Davila, Dr. Todd Gersten, Dr. Daniel Spitz and Dr. Raul Storey, will be held on Sunday, March 10th, 2019, from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM at the International Polo Club Palm Beach, located at 3667 120th Avenue South, Wellington, Florida 33414.
Guests will enjoy a thrilling polo game, fabulous cuisine, and more on the veranda at one of the largest polo clubs in the world! In addition, international All-Star polo player, cancer survivor and philanthropist, Brandon Phillips, will be a guest speaker. At fourteen, Brandon was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and given only six weeks to live. After months of treatment, Brandon beat the odds and today is cancer free.
All proceeds will benefit the FCS Foundation, which provides financial assistance for non-medical living expenses to qualified cancer patients who are currently undergoing treatment in Florida. The FCS Foundation’s overhead is paid by Florida Cancer Specialists’ partner physicians, so that 100% of donations (net of event expenses) can benefit cancer patients in need.
FCS Foundation Board Co-Chair, Jeffrey Phipps, Sr., AWMA, shared, “My wife Linda and I are very excited to have the opportunity to co-chair the FCS Foundation Polo Brunch for the third year in a row. Serving on the FCS Foundation Board, I know that funds raised during events throughout the year are the lifeblood to making a difference in the lives of many patients and their families affected by cancer.”
Honorary Chairs and FCS Physicians, Dr. Hugo Davila, Dr. Todd Gersten, Dr. Daniel Spitz and Dr. Raul Storey, stated, “We are ecstatic to be named Honorary Chairs of this unique event in Wellington, which will directly benefit cancer patients and their families. Event tickets are $250 per person and include brunch, beverages and field-side seating for polo. Guests are encouraged to wear sundresses, blazers and your best hat.
