Two-Day Event Features World Long Drive Champion
WHAT: The Florida Cancer Specialists (FCS) Foundation is hosting its second annual Golf Classic fundraiser to support patients undergoing cancer treatment with their nonmedical living expenses such as rent, mortgage, utilities and car payments.
Two-time World Long Drive Champion Tim Burke will excite and entertain event attendees with a variety of stunts and tricks to kick off the two-day event on Thursday, May 16. Known for hitting a golf ball with such force it can cut through plywood or a watermelon, the renowned player will also participate at one of the holes for the Longest Drive Contest at the tournament on Friday, May 17.
The Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation was created to ensure that no cancer patient qualifying for assistance must choose between receiving treatment and paying their critical living expenses. Because of the generosity of FCS physicians who pay the salaries and overhead for the Foundation, 100 percent of all donations go directly to patient grants that support patients in need.
Tickets are $250 per golfer, $900 for a golf team of four, $125 to attend the evening reception only, $75 for the awards luncheon only and $200 for the evening reception and awards luncheon.
WHO: Florida Cancer Specialists (FCS) Foundation, Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute (FCS).
